Santa Eufemia
This central structure church was built in the 18th century on the drawings of Gianfrancesco Buonamici (1692-1759) on the foundations of an ancient early Christian temple. According to legend this is the place where the first religious place of worship in Ravenna rose, founded by St. Apollinaire, St. Peter’s disciple, who placed the relics of St. Eufemia di Aquileia here. Inside we can find paintings by Antonio Burrini (1656-1727), Andrea Barbiani (1708-1779) and decorations by Domenico Barbiani (1714-1777).
